Goodbye iPad app! Welcome Online Patient Forms!

We are happy to announce a new great feature recently released in Praktika: patients can now fill in their personal/medical forms and consents on any tablet available in your practice. All you need to do is scan the QR code from the patient file on a tablet and pass it to the patient.

If you already have been using iPads, you can continue using them – they are great devices that will last for many years – or you can used Android tablets as well.

Since we released our first iPad app in July 2011, its main purpose was to allow collections of patient personal and medical details and later to sign the consent forms. We have been constantly improving the app, making it work on all different types of iPads, old and new, and different types of iOS. We have also received a lot of enquires about a possibility of an app for the Android tablets. Developing and maintaining an iPad app is not a simple task alone, however the addition of an Android app would have added a new level of complexity. So we’ve decided to discontinue the iPad app and move to the world of Internet browsers. We are not planning to remove the Praktika Dental app from AppStore, however, we are not planning to update it anymore.
