Text Templates for Notes

Today we have released one of the most requested features – text templates for Notes. Now look for a small square green button with letter “T” in it, sitting in the top right corner of Note text areas.

You will find these green buttons everywhere where you have Notes to add or edit. They are in the Appointment notes, in Clinical notes and in Quotes/Estimates. Their purpose is to speed up the entry of commonly repeated text.

Click on the “T” button and select to insert one of the previously saved templates.

Click on “Insert Text” button to place the template text in your note.

It is also very easy to manage your templates. You can create a new one by clicking in “+”, remove a template by clicking on “-” or edit an existing by clicking on “edit” button.

The templates created are bound to the user account, meaning that they exist across all locations user has an access to.

Export to Excel

Another small new feature in Praktika – ability to export cash transactions into Microsoft Excel or similar program. The output format is CSV ( Comma Separated Values) . This is a plain list of all transactions within a given range for all providers or for the selected one. It does not require you to enter any account numbers like it’s done for MYOB export.  This will allow you to do some quick calculations in Excel or prepare the figures for your BAS.

To export transaction, please go to the Reports-> Cash Receipts, set the dates and/or provider  and click on the button at the bottom of the screen.

Default Fee Schedule

A small enhancement to the current fee schedule management in Praktika system.
Customers could assign a default fee schedule for the current practice, so all newly created patients will have this fee schedule as a default one.
This will be especially convenient if your practice have a lot of Medicare patients and Praktika’s standard fee schedule based on the ADA item numbers is not suitable for them.

To set default fee schedule please go to the Practice Management tab, then Fee Management and then click on the desired fee schedule. At the bottom of the screen you will notice a new check box:
