Praktika Referral Management<\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Praktika Referrals<\/b> is our new module that has been released\u00a0this month.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
It allows to record and manage\u00a0Incoming\u00a0(IN) and Outgoing (OUT) Referrals as well as to create and maintain a list of Referring Parties (<\/span>database of\u00a0external Clinics and Doctors).<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
It is\u00a0comprised of the Referral Tab that contains Referring Clinic, Referring Providers<\/b> and Referral Management<\/b> units, Referral<\/b> unit in the Patient File and\u00a0Referral Setup<\/b> in the Practice Details.<\/span><\/div>\n

You can use this tab to maintain your list of the referring providers and clinics as well as to view and manage your practice\u2019s referrals.<\/div>\n

The interface allows you to create an external clinic record and then associate external providers with this clinic. You can do it on the fly while creating an external provider record.<\/div>\n

An external provider can belong to one or more external clinics. Providers can move from one clinic to another. The external clinics and providers can be used to create referrals (outgoing) or register referrals (incoming). The mails merge macros have also been updated and they are now \u201cclever” enough to recognise which provider information should be included in the final document.<\/div>\n

Referrals Management<\/strong><\/div>\n
Practice Referral Management allows you to apply complex combination filters to find and single out referrals by a variety of criteria.<\/span><\/div>\n

The screen is interactive and you can click to open the referrals in the list to modify them.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Patient Referrals<\/strong><\/div>\n

Use Patient\u00a0referrals screen to create a new referral (outgoing referrals) or register\u00a0and manage a referral (incoming referrals).<\/span><\/div>\n
Change states (\u201cIn progress\u201d vs\u00a0\u201cclosed\u201d), statuses (fully customisable), categories (fully\u00a0customisable), add images or documents. Track the progress of your management.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Referral Statuses and Categories Management<\/strong><\/div>\n

Go to Management -> Practice Details -> Referral<\/b> to manage your referral statuses and categories. Double click on an empty row to create a new entry, type your text and save. If you need to delete a status or a category, please press\u00a0\u201cDelete” button and chose the ones you want to get rid of.<\/div>\n

Document Referral Updates<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Document macros have been updated to reflect the changes in\u00a0the Referral Module. Now they include a new section with\u00a0corresponding\u00a0macros. The\u00a0\u201cexternal\u201d tag refers to clinics and\u00a0doctors outside of your\u00a0practice you are\u00a0referring to or get referrals from. The\u00a0\u201cinternal\u201d tag refers to your practice and practice\u2019s staff.<\/span><\/div>\n

When a template is used from within a patient\u00a0referral (Patient Referral screen), the document that is based on the template\u00a0\u201cknows\u201d all the correct information about the referral parties.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Praktika Periodontal Charting Update<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Praktika\u2019s Periodontal Charting has received several new highly sought after features:<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
1. Colour coding of input fields<\/span><\/div>\n
2. Setting of colour coding thresholds (what is shown in green, orange and red)<\/span><\/div>\n
3. A special setting that changes the way the Loss of Attachment is calculated (based of Recession\u00a0threshold). If the Recession reading is within the threshold value (e.g. 3), then the Loss of Attachment is calculated this way: if the Probing Depth measurement is below or equal to 3, then the Loss of\u00a0Attachment is set as 0, if it is higher than 3, then the Loss of\u00a0Attachment – 3(i.e. 4 – 3 = 1). This is an optional setting that can be activated.<\/span><\/div>\n

There is a new practice settings in the Scheduler that allows to\u00a0emphasise\u00a0the patient\u2019s name by setting the boldness.<\/span><\/p>\n

Treatment Type Strip Width<\/strong><\/div>\n

You can now change the width of the Treatment Type strip (for those who wanted the colour code the appointment by the Treatment Type rather than the\u00a0Provider colour). By default it is 10%, and that can be\u00a0extended up to 90% of the appointment area.<\/div>\n

Patient File Navigator Updates<\/strong><\/div>\n

The Patient file navigator now shows Appointment\u2019s custom icons in the Appointment list, More text room allocated for medical Alerts and Warnings, the Referring Provider field is added. The screen has also been enlarged to view on monitors with higher resolution.<\/div>\n
