Even if the patient has got a completed appointment, you can uncomplete the appointment, remove any procedures and then delete it. However, if there is a record of payments, you will not be able to delete a patient file as you need to have a &#8216;source&#8217; in order to track the financial data.<\/p>\n<p>To delete a patient file, \u00a0open Patient File\/Personal Details and select the &#8216;Deleted&#8217; Patient Status from a drop down box.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/praktika.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/patient_status.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-222\" title=\"Select Patient File Status\" src=\"http:\/\/praktika.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/patient_status.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/praktika.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/patient_status.jpg 404w, https:\/\/praktika.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/patient_status-300x178.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 404px) 100vw, 404px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can also use the &#8216;Suspended&#8217; Patient Status if you want to restrict a patient from getting a new appointment. In this case there will be an error message shown\u00a0if someone tries to create a new appointment.<\/p>\n<p>The status &#8216;Guarantor Only&#8217; is automatically selected when you create a guarantor.
